Barbara Howes serves as Chief People Officer of Eikon Therapeutics, leading all aspects of the company’s people strategy, including talent, diversity, culture and employee engagement.
Before joining Eikon, Barbara served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Pliant Therapeutics, where she helped launch and scale the company. Before joining Pliant as a full-time employee, she served as their interim Head of Human Resources through her consulting practice in which she focused on launching new biotechnology companies. Prior to Pliant, Barbara led the executive and organization development, learning, diversity, and workforce research teams at Genentech, after spending 12 years at The Walt Disney Company where she was Vice President of Disney University.
Barbara received her Master of Business Administration, with an emphasis in organization behavior, from California Lutheran University. She received her bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Brentwood, California.
