Russ Berman serves as Chief Technology Officer at Eikon Therapeutics. In this role, he is responsible for leading a broad range of teams including hardware, software, automation, engineering IT, program management, and product management.
Russ has more than two decades of experience managing technical teams at leading biotechnology companies. From 2010 through 2020, he held multiple roles at Pacific Biosciences, including Vice President of Engineering, where he led the development of complex single-molecule DNA sequencing instruments. Prior to his time at Pacific Biosciences, Russ led the software team at Velocity11 (later acquired by Agilent Technologies), a leading provider of laboratory robotics and liquid handlers.
Russ holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree from University of California, Berkeley.
