Shung has more than 25 years of experience pursuing novel imaging technology and applications mostly in consumer electronics, but also in scientific, construction, automotive and defense applications. He was at a few startups prior to Eikon, including Inscopix (acquired by Bruker) where he served as VP of Product and led the development of their calcium imaging and optogenetics tool platform for neuroscience. Before that, he was VP and General Manager of the Consumer Imaging Business at On Semiconductor which had acquired Aptina Imaging where he served as VP of Technology and Application Development. Shung started his career at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies working on semiconductor and IC technology. He has a BS in computer engineering from University of Waterloo, a PhD in electrical engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Wharton.
